Pre-Ride Safety Check
Getting to Know Your Bullet GTX Ebike & Maintenance Tips" section yet, we strongly recommend delving into these resources to familiarize yourself better with your Bullet GTX Ebike and discover the tools needed for comprehensive ebike maintenance. The following checklist offers a concise and general pre-ride safety inspection that we suggest incorporating into your routine before every ride, particularly the initial one!
Check Tire Pressure: Ensure that the tire pressure falls within the specified range indicated on the tire sidewall. Adjust the air level as needed to guarantee a smooth riding experience.
Check Brakes: With your ebike powered off, walk beside it and test each brake lever independently. Activating the lever should bring the bike to an immediate stop.
Clean and Lube Chain: Elevate the ebike's tires off the ground and, using a dry, clean rag, grasp the chain located between the rear gears and pedals. Rotate the pedals manually to allow the chain to pass through the rag, cleaning off any dirt or debris. Apply lubricant on a monthly basis for moderate ebike usage.
Check Wheel Tightness: Ensure that there is no wobbling in the wheels. Confirm that the axle nuts on both wheels are properly fitted, tightening them if necessary.
Battery Charge & Care: Power on your ebike and verify that the battery has sufficient charge for your intended ride. Confirm that the battery is securely in place, and the release knob is engaged.
Accessories: Confirm that the fenders and rear rack are securely bolted to your ebike, tightening them as needed.
Check Kickstand: Before each ride, ensure that the bolts on your kickstand are tight. This precaution helps prevent the loss of bolts or the kickstand itself during your ride. If your kickstand has two pieces, also tighten the bolt holding the bottom half in place.
Storing Your Ebike
When not in use, it is recommended to store your RAEV Bullet GTX indoors. If required, outdoor storage is permissible as long as the ebike is fully covered. Make sure to turn off the battery, display, and any lights during storage. It is acceptable to keep the battery inserted and locked to the frame in moderate temperatures. However, in extreme heat or cold conditions, it is advisable to remove the battery from the bike and store it in a temperature-controlled environment. Additionally, be sure to place the battery keys in a strategic location to avoid misplacement.

Tire Specs
The RAEV electric bike, specifically the Bullet GTX model, features inner tubes within its tires. This means that the tires have an interior lining, referred to as an inner tube, which can be inflated to maintain air pressure. In cases of punctures or leaks, the issue typically lies with the inner tube rather than the tire itself. Inner tubes are usually made of rubber, equipped with an inflation valve, and are generally sized to fit within the appropriate width range of the tire.
The Bullet GTX is a sports utility electric bike designed for urban cycling, equipped with 20 x 4.0 inch tires. The number "20" indicates the wheel diameter, while "4.0" represents the tire width. Whether you're commuting or enjoying recreational rides around the city, these durable tires excel on well-paved roads. It is not recommended to ride the Bullet GTX electric bike on soft, sandy, or rocky bike paths.
The choice of tire size should take into account the frame size and structure of the electric bike. They all have recommended maximum tire clearances to fit securely in place. If you have any questions about the maximum tire clearance for the Bullet GTX electric bike, please contact RAEV support.
Disclaimer: Tire sizes are not universal, and different manufacturers may have varying size guidelines. It's crucial to note that one size may not fit all, so if you have any questions about the maximum tire clearance, please contact RAEV support.

How to Store
When it's time to give your ebike a foreseeable break, like when it's no longer biking season or you've suffered a recent injury, please make sure you follow these steps to store your battery and maintain its health:
- Always ensure the battery is off and the bike is not on.
- Always charge your battery in a temperature controlled environment, between68 °F – 86 °F (20 °C – 30 °C).
- RAEV ebikes use lithium ion batteries; these types of batteries should never be stored with an empty charge. Before you store your ebike for months, make sure you charge the battery to a 75%-80% range. Check on it every month to make sure the percentage of the battery's energy doesn't drop under 75%. This will help you to extend the battery's life.
- Store the battery in a dry, climate-controlled, indoor location between 32 °F – 86 °F (0 °C – 30 °C).
- Do not leave the battery attached to the bike frame for a prolonged period of time; Remove it from your ebike when storing long-term.
Removal and Installation
Inset the key, rotate it to ON state and place the battery in the body preset position;
Forcibly push the battery downward to the bottom
Rotate the key to Lock state and pull it out.
Storage
If you plan on storing your battery short-term, the battery capacity should be maintained at 2-3 power indicator lights. It is not recommended to store the battery fully charged. Remove the battery from the device and store it in a dry environment between 0°C and 30°C. Check the power indicator lights every month, and recharge when only 1 light is lit until it reaches 2-3 lights.
For long-term storage of the battery, the switchable battery should be switched off before storage

Disc Brake Overview
Disc brakes are a common form of bicycle brake and a staple for RAEV ebikes. They activate when a rider pulls on an electric bike's brake levers, applying braking force from the brake lever to the rotor (or disc) that is mounted on the hub of the bike. This applied resistance, in turn, reduces a bike rider's overall speed.
Hydraulic Disc Brake
The Bullet GTX comes equipped with hydraulic disc brakes. Hydraulic disc brakes use a sealed fluid system to apply braking force from the bike's brake lever. Brake fluid is housed within the hydraulic braking system, which connects to an internal piston. When the brake lever is pulled, the piston forces brake fluid towards the brake caliper. The pistons inside the brake caliper then take over that force, pushing the brake caliper against the brake pads and into the disc rotor. The end result, slowing the rotation of your Bullet GTX's rotor and the wheel.
